carpet or interior step trim on a 58

I saw a 58 the otherday and it had a aftermarket trim around the edge of the step where the carpet goes. I can't seem to find it anywhere...does anyone know who makes it or where to get it ....or even what it's called ?

The ones I've seen look like regular metal trim you get at Home depot. It's just screwed down. You do mean the part of the floor above he actual step right ?

It's a piece of hard plastic trim that goes around the edge of the step. It's a made piece for sure and not something somene has made. It's a one piece thing that has cut outs for the floor ribs under the seat and at the edge of the step.....I really liked it and am getting ready to do carpet and would like to find it to finish it

The guy could have made it using sign panel or fiberglas. If you don't like the standard aluminum angle from the big box stores, find a commercial hardware supplier and ask to look at a Pemko or similar catalog, they have lots of aluminum carpet and stair tread transition strips, or even threshold pieces that could be used. Johnson is a company that makes the same in rubber and vinyl for commercial stairs and transitions.

Astro Van trim will fit sort of, I used it, but am thinking maybe making new using one inch aluminum angle or steel, miter and weld the corners to make it fit nice.
