Need advice and help buying new tires for my C-20

I need some input, advise, what you think looks good... on buying tires..
I have a 70 C-20 and currently have 245-75-16 ( 30.5 inches tall) on the truck with nice aftermarket wheels. The tires needs replacing and i would like
to replace them with a smaller tire, say 225 75 16 (28.5 inches tall). That would gimmie an extra inch closer to the ground but my concern is they may look to small for the wheel well and the truck. Can i ask what "you" are running and maybe some pics to see how it looks?
Also is load range 104 enuff for this stock, always empty truck?
Thank You Paul
heres some pics of what i have now

Just my opinion, but no flippin way would I go to a smaller tire...
The 265/75/16's fill out the wheel wells great.

Re: Need advice and help buying new tires for my C-20

yep, smaller would not appear to fill the wheelwell in my opinion. I like Sicklajoie's size tires the best. Can also do 70/285's to fill the wheelwell. Bottom line, if you really want it to be lower to the ground, I'd lower it, not try to make it look that way with tires, for the reasons mentioned above (appear tiny in the wheelwell). VERY nice truck by the way, I really like it. Have you considered white steelies? In my humble opinion, they would look incredible on your truck with its color. Lots of threads on here about steelies (16" vs 16.5" for C20s) etc. I shopped for months trying to find steelies and finally scrounged a full set, out for PC now. Now all I need is the truck...

To me, 1/2 tonners are the best lowering candidates, but I have seen a few 20s lowered around here so it can be done.

Again, whatever direction you decide to go, your truck looks GREAT! Really like it.
