Disc brakes for 6 lug '63 GMC

I would like to convert my 1/2 ton GMC to disc brakes. Other than after-market disc brake conversions, is there a swap with any later year Chevy that will allow me to use my existing 6 lug wheels? I notice that the GMC's and Chevy's of the 2000's has 6 lug wheels. Is this an option?

Take a look at the FAQ. There is an later year truck that would work. I do not know the specifics but noticed it there after my 6 lug to 5 lug conversion.

Hope that helps!

Upgrades--small block, tilt column, disc 5 lug conversion (front and rear),

Future Projects--suburban gas tank under the bed, rear roll pan, better gas mileage (currently about 6-10 MPG)

FAQ

Pardon my ignorance here, but where are these FAQ you referred to which concern the disc brakes. And thank you for your initial reply!

Go to the top of the page. The small print second to last name is FAQs. Click on that and look for the topic "Easy disc swap".

This should tell you all you need to know.
