New Truck

New find today - just got it back home. Original CA truck, one of cleanest cabs I've had, original rockers, was original black truck, someone robbed the fleetside and set the step on it, rest is pretty much complete was just taken apart.

Re: New Truck

Looks like a good start. Kinda reminds me of the 72 sb I recently acquired.

Re: New Truck

It's better than the pictures show - like that truck you've got there oldskydog, wish i had your bed. It was more apart than together so I pulled the cab & engine and power washed the frame - going to get it painted and get it back together hopefully sooner than later.

Re: New Truck

Not that you guys have never seen a frame ready for paint but wanted to post some pics of how this cleaned up - I sprayed this with muratic acid and power washed the frame with hot water, then used a DA with 100 grit and a blaster from Harbor Freight around the rivits and tough spots. Really happy with the way it cleaned up, can read all stamps and vin. Going to get some paint on soon if I can get some more time to spend on this - moving slow.
