Modified van tilt?
I am guessing this is out of a van because i don't see the rectangle port at the bottom for the nuetral safety switch. The lower shaft however is the correct length for the trucks. There is a small dent on the bottom of the upper housing( look at the pics) The tilt functions nicely and levers are nice as well. $220 shipped. If it wasn't for the small dent this would be a really nice column.
IF ANYONE HAS ANY INPUT LET ME KNOW. I HAVE NEVER HAD A VAN TILT BEFORE Last edited by Chevy072; 08-09-2012 at 06:48 PM. |

Re: Modified van tilt?
Motor homes used van tilts and some of them had the correct length shafts in them.

Re: Modified van tilt?
The shift arm on a motorhome tilt has a jog in it. This is probably an old van tilt, the first year or so they didn't have neutral safety switches on them. This one has been modified to fit a truck, either with the shaft changed or shortened inside the column. You can tell it's been apart due to the fact it has the two rubber pieces on it and they haven't been cut to get them on, and also the metal ring that holds the lower rubber piece to the firewall is on backwards.
