air bag question for 64 c10

alright so i got a hold of some air lift bags just not sure what model, from what they look like it seemed that they might be the dominator d2600 but im not sure, if any one could clarify that for me it would be appreciated, here are some pics







i also got a tank/compressor combo with the bags but im not sure if it is big enough for them i think it is used for air horns but hoping it will still work for bags, im not planing on using the bags for lifting as much as for lowering so i figured it shouldn't affect it to much seeing as im going to ride minimum psi recommended,

also wanted to know around how much will it drop without c notching with these bags

The bags look like Dominators.
Don't know anything about that compressor.

The bags should be fine for your needs. The compressor and tank are not adequate for a 4 bag system. That tank looks like it "might" be 1 gallon. You need at least 3 gallons and 5 or 6 is better. The compressor might fill a 3 gallon tank but it will be slow to refill.

I think that compressor is off a set of airhorns or maybe a air locker,Look around our vendors on here most can get you a good tank and compressor at a good price.

the tank is a 3 litter tank and the compressor is an air horn tank i think 110 psi an d it has a duty cycle of 15% i don't know how good that is for now im going to keep the two bag system just for the rear

Yeah the bags are fine you just need a better compressor and air tank and valves.

I assume you plan to set your ride height and adjust it when necessary to accommodate loads. If your just using it for the rear, it should be fine.

well im planning on driving around with 5 psi in the bags because i want the truck to be lowered so i don't really think i should have to much trouble

5psi... or do you mean 15psi? i doubt very seriously 5psi would even make it budge (raise up) a fraction of an inch

But if you need to lift in an emergency, you may be hosed. I think you should run a second 3 gallon tank, just in case. Of course, with another compressor.

maybe lol. but then at 50 psi in the bags on the rear of a pickup, its gonna be sitting up pretty high, possibly almost all the way up. a good psi to run in the rear of a pickup with a decently low and good riding ride height would probably be more in the 30-35 psi range. BUT it also depends on where the bags are placed and how it is setup

well i was told 5 psi is the minimum psi recommended so it wont rub, and i want to have it as low as i can, rite now im saving money for the air lines, fittings, and the brackets ive got the money for the fittings, and airlines just need a little more for the brackets on ebay,
and i just plan on placing them in the same place as the springs are rite now and also was thinking about maybe some lowering blocks but i don't know how much that would help

That might be true as far as it being as low as you can, but you'll find out really fast you can't drive it normally like that due to bottoming out. 15-35 is more realistic for driving.

might just let it sit low when im parked at school nd then when im driving see how i like the ride with 30 psi, Now ive got the airbags,compressor/tank, Fittings for the bags, gauge/switch still need the fittings for the gauge, air line, so now all i need is the brackets, ive been to several machine shops but none of them could make it, i was thinking about buying them off ebay but after taxes and shipping it would go up to a little over a hundred bucks

The bags can be swapped directly in place of the rear coils in a 63-72 truck-arm application. Some creative drilling is required & they'll bolt right in.

Not w/creative drilling. The brackets also limit the amount of drop. For the direct swap, you just drill a hole large enough in the frame rail for the air fitting to fit along w/the holes for the mounting bolts.

Fat tony I know mine is a fleet side but this is as low as u get without a notch. I recently put on drop spindles and notched the rear so it's lower now. But still far from laying rockers.

Thanks, now that i have an idea of how low it will go what would i do about the fenders?, i noticed that if id drop it , the rear fenders would hit the tire because of how wide they are, would i need new tires or what would be a good way to modify the fender without ruining the look?

I would say talk to a good fabricator I'm unfamiliar with the set up of step sides. My wheels are staggered and 8" wide with a 235/70/15. I had to cut my inner bed aide
