He said that this is what all the ones he has seen looks like... What is going on, why is the rear of the horn button different??? |

First one is all '67-'68 except CST. The second one is '67-'68 CST. LockDoc

Re: Need some help, confused...
"I did notice this though. Yours has a different part number and appears to have a different finish. Notice the Shiny chrome finish on the outside of the ring and the circular “machining” marks on the center of the button “inside the ring”. Maybe one is a 67 non-cst and the other is a 68 non-cst button."
Myself and CericD have been discussing this for a few days and the above comment is what he noticed about this particular horn button! Does anyone maybe know the answer! |

Re: Need some help, confused...
That was why i posted "basically correct" . To add, I believe there were 3 versions. The top one pictured was the basic 67-68 with a dull finish. Option 2 was the same cap with chrome finish. Probably found on a custom option. And the last was the CST cap which may have been a 67 only thing.

Re: Need some help, confused...
I agree with this. I have run across many 68 CST's and none have ever had the 67 CST cap. I also believe the parts book lists it for 67 only. The part number I have on one of mine is 3903667
