Custom Emblem Removal?
I am trying to refinish my front fenders on my 1972 c10 custom and was wondering if you had to take the fender off to get the custom/c10 emblems off. I can get to one of the nuts but not the other. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Custom Emblem Removal?
I just did this on mine to prime the fender. I had to unbolt the fender most of the way on the back to get my hand in to get the back bolt.

Re: Custom Emblem Removal?
Itook the inner fender out then the lower bolt on the back of the fender under the doors. When you do that you can barely get to the back nut on the emblem.
I used a racheting box end wrench to get it off.If you got a skinny hand you can feel to get it back on.It's touch but doable. BE VERY CAREFUL IF you have to ease the fender out to get your hand to the back side. That's how I did mine. There may be a easier way but I don t know. |
