New Owner in Montana

Hey everyone! My name is Scott, and I live in beautiful Bigfork, Montana. I just picked up my gem of a 68 a couple weeks ago. She is a GMC 2500 4x4 that appears to be mostly original. I've been daily driving it since I bought it, and I am totally in love with this truck.

As of now, I do not have any solid plans for the truck, other than driving the hell out of it. I would like to thank everyone in advance for the knowledge I am about to receive from this site.

Anyways, on to the pics!

Welcome from Idaho. That is a great looking truck! She looks very clean, I like the e brake handle cover. Take good care of that one.

Re: New Owner in Montana

Hey everyone, thanks again for the warm welcomes. Glad to see some Montana folks in here too!

To answer some questions:
1) I do not plan to molest this truck, just going to keep it nice/make it nicer.
2) Unfortunately it is not the original paint on the outside of the truck, believe it or not, that is rolled on house paint. I don't mind it terribly, however, it will be changed in the future.
3) I found this truck in Ferndale, just south of Bigfork. It was used to haul garbage to the dump and tubes to the river. Both about a mile from where its home was.
4) The car show in Bigfork is Sunday, September 2nd.

I also have a question for you guys. Does changing this truck over to disc brakes and power steering hurt its value?

Thanks again everyone!
Scott
