Lowering my 1967 ???

Im getting ready to do a complete restoration on my 67. I would like to know how low i can lower the truck with out doing major modifications like removing the front fenders, putting and air bag system in it or have to mess with the steering system a whole lot. . I would like to put 18's or 20's on it also. What is a good combo with 18's or 20's. Is it 4" drop in the front and a 5" drop in the back ect....... I will be putting disc brakes on it. Any info would be great or some pics of what some of you guys have done.

Re: Lowering my 1967 ???

Great question!! I'm 4 1/2/6 drop and I'm looking at 18's. Been trying to get peeps to post picks for a 4/6 drop with 18's to see. I currently have 15's and they are to small. (The rims)

Thanks for the post anthony. Did you drop the front with a 2.5" spindle and a 1.5" spring and drop the back with a 5" spring and a 1" block? Your truck looks great and thats the look im going for.

Re: Lowering my 1967 ???

It did help! I think I'm going 18's with more tire. I'm using the same theory he did with measuring the tire and fitting to that diameter.

Thank you!

You can go 5/7 static. Check out ledzepp's truck and I believe there are others on here running that drop.

ledzepp's is definitely a 5/7, and he's just headimng to paint, pretty cool build thread worth checkin out
mine is a 5.5/7.5 I'm still able to run stock inner fenders and only requirement is a c notch and shock relocation kit, real easy install, I did the grand slam kit from CPP and the 5 lug axle swap on the rear while I was at it, there is 11inches from the ground to the pinch weld under the cab with 20's under it

Re: Lowering my 1967 ???

Hey pipeline can you give me some more detail on your drop. Did you drop your truck with springs or did you bag it. Im looking to get as low as I can with a spinle/spring drop in front and a spring cnotch drop in the rear. Did you have any steering issues with rubbing anywhere? Just trying to figure out what the best combo is for what im wanting. Thanks.
