How low without drop spindles?
My son has a 66 we are finishing up and we have installed air bags with schraders and I was wondering how low we can go without drop spindles ? If someone has a measurement of the shock length with 3" drop springs or something similar it would be great. I don't have a referance height because the truck has been apart for 3 years and we haven't ordered wheels and tires yet.

Re: How low without drop spindles?
I always seem to have a question that doesn't get much response.

Re: How low without drop spindles?
The compressed height of an air bag is approximately 3".
Getting definite answers are hard, because there are too many varibles. BUT,... since you already have air bags,... I assume you could let the air out of them and check your frame height? I would look in the "bagged 60-66" thread. There are several members running bags with drum brakes and stock spindles up front. I don't know actual shock length numbers,... but any shock for a 3" drop spring will work.
