69 C-10 Project ?
MY NEW PROJECT IS A 2wd 69 C-10.NOW IT HAS SBC 307
& 3 ON THE TREE.I'M CHANGING TO A BBC & 400 TB AUTO.EVERYTHING ELSE WILL STAY STOCK.DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY WORDS OF WISDOM.OR,MAYBE SOME ADVICE ON THINGS TO DO OR NOT TO DO.LAST,HOW HARD IS CHANGING 2WD TO 4WD IN THIS 69 TRUCK? |

Sounds like you have a good project there. Post some pics if you can. What do you want to do with your ride? 4X4? That can be done. |

Let me be the first to welcome you to the best truck board on the web. Also check out the search option at the top of the page, there is a wealth of information within the archives of this message board. The conversion to 4x4 is simple just find a complete frame with drivetrain and switch the body over. The 4 wheel drive frames are different than the 2 wheel drives. If you are a creative welder it can be done the hard way. The 4x4's also have a leaf rear suspension. You might also have to raise the hump inside the cab. A converted truck will not bring the price of an original K Series. The general opinion is if you want a 4x4 save youself some trouble and buy an original factory one. Have fun
