battery cable length
I am thinking of moving the battery in my 1950 truck out of the cab to right behind the cab. Mounting it is easy. My question is how big of cable will I need to increase the length from the battery to the starter? I need to go from 3 1/2 feet to about 6 feet.

Re: battery cable length
#1 ga. would be fine for 6', 1/0 would be better but don't think you would need anything that big...

Re: battery cable length
12 volts. It sounds like 1 or 0 would be fine. I'll let you guys know if I decide to move the battery and how I do it.

Re: battery cable length
I'm planning the same thing. In the past I had the battery in the trunk of one car and used welding cable for the battery cable.
I see that O'Reilly's has bulk 2-0 battery cable for abut 7 bucks a foot though. |

Re: battery cable length
Just bought 15 feet from the auto supply store here in town (not a chain store) #1 for $3.50 a foot...
