taking out v8 for 235 HELP!!

i was gonna do reverse on most build since i blew my motor , taking out the 283 for a 235 , but i spent all money and time for v8 now im confused on how to mount the 235 i recently picked up a 235 engine how do the motor mounts go pics would be great cause i seen some that had a motor mount pad and others use the same style as the v8 ? my cross member only has holes way up front and what front engine plate would i use cause mine dont have holes and they sware its the motor they removed from the truck 10 years ago ? I know it is a 1956 motor y for powerglide bit it has solid lifters and a manual tranny bushing in the crank shaft allready with original bell housing

Re: taking out v8 for 235 HELP!!

here you go. If you are going to do much work on yours the Factory Assembly Manual is a good $25 investment. The stud, bisquits and hardware are available as repops. you can get them at napa or oriellys, just use 57 chevy auto as the rig to look up. They are the same as the truck. Do not know about the engine brackets.

yes thank you its so far the same alot as the v8 ,,i wasnt sure on the side mounts till i noticed you have to mount the generator bracket first then the side mount will bolt on .. old owner had a coffee can i found stashed with brand new motor mount donuts bolts ..so i went and bought a wayne valve cover and side push rod cover ,..hehee , figured i saved me 150 bucks on buying new mounts again ,
