Logan's 66 Build...With dad....With surprise video...
Hi everyone...I'm Paul, and Logan is my 11 year old Gear Head son...We just moved to Texas 6 months ago from Michigan...Brought my Horse lovin' wife Audra AKA Rocker Mom and youngest daughter Sierra...We're loving the rust free cars and trucks around here...I got Logan a Vega wagon and then found the 66 I think the truck will be easier and less expensive to build...Logan in now on board, he really liked the Vega...Anyway, here are some pictures...
As we found her... Towing her home... And as she sits at home...For now... |

Here are a few updated pictures...Oh and the Pavement shot is actually a little Burnout we did...Logan Loves his Truck...Even after sitting 16 years in a field with the hood up we threw in a Battery, a Fuel Line and some fresh gas and she fired right up...Threw on some Air Worthy Tires and drove her around the yard...

Whats up with Logan...
Hey guys, Just wanted to share a little on Logan and his truck...Logan is 12 now and loving his truck...He works so hard but can be very overwhelming at times but keeps going...He asked about the forum and I told him we need to turn it over to him soon...He spends time going through classic truck catalogs and looking at everyone else's trucks for build ideas...When he sold the Vega, he bought a windshield and has also purchased with the help of birthday money and other means a chrome back bumper, late model seat, wheels and tires and has been working hard on the interior...The dash is now all sanded and in primer...His next big purchase will be a relocated gas tank but is still a little shy of the funds...He also really needs a good used passenger side vent window...Grandpa has a 327 block that is in questionable condition but he is so excited because he really wants a V8...His truck pretty much needs everything but we're making headway...If any of you have things he could use and could buy instead of of paying top dollar from a mail order catalog or more importantly any advise or words of wisdom to share would be great...I love the fact that Logan is so into classic cars and truck instead of any alternatives...Anyway, I'm sure he'd love to hear from all of you...

Re: Whats up with Logan...
I have a couple of doors sitting around that have good vent windows in them, Ill just have to get them out. If interested PM me and I can get pics as soon as I get them out. Good to see he has a desire for the oldies. Im only 22 but it reminds me of when I was a kid, anything with four wheels I was into it haha

Re: Whats up with Logan...
I love this, great to see a young guy with the ambition to do more than play video games. If we were closer he would be free to rumage through all my spare parts for what ever he needs. Put a list together I know a few local folks up here that head to Texas for the winter maybe we can work something out with some small parts to keep him going.
KEEP THE GOOD WORK LOGAN!!! |

Re: Whats up with Logan...
Thanks guys...Most of it will be elbow grease work...
It was a ranch truck so its pretty rough... Things he needs are... Passenger side vent window, drivers side glass is good but the frame is bad and no latches for either one... Drivers side (the only one) sun visor... Theres not much to the truck, its pretty plain Jane but I'll look closer... What he wants is... Relocated gas tank that he almost has enough for but if someone has a used one to sell that would be even better... He has a new chrome back bumper but thinks he wants a rolled pan now...lol Airbags... Stereo... Speakers... Aftermarket steering wheel... etc. etc. etc... |

Re: Whats up with Logan...
Well I have one that doesnt have much vinyl on it any more and the others are cardboard, but I just picked up another parts truck where the guy recovered the seat and visor. Its a maroon cloth material but i can take it out and take pictures of it as well. I havent had a chance to get the doors apart yet.

Re: Whats up with Logan...
This is how I found Logan a couple weeks ago...We had just pulled the old windshield out and he was cleaning all the old window seal rubber off...Don't worry hes not heavy enough yet to do any damage to the hood...lol...I was doing something else at the time and I went out to check on him...He had it all done though...lol...
