WTB Flywheel cover 72 4X4 /w turbo 350

I am looking for a nice clean Flywheel cover for a 72 4x4 with a Turbo 350. Also need the correct mounting screws.

Thanks,
Ray

Re: WTB Flywheel cover 72 4X4 /w turbo 350

Went thru the same process, looking for the same. From what I have found out and been told by several board members the 350TH flywheel/dust cover is the same back then for 2wd or 4wd. I got one from a fellow board member and it fit fine to the transmission which is still hooked to the transfer case. Now have to look thru my many bolt cans to find the correct fastener. When I find the correct bolt I will post my findings.

Ironhorse, I also believe they are the same too. How is your changeover coming along??

Thanks,

Re: WTB Flywheel cover 72 4X4 /w turbo 350

The change over is doing pretty well but got a bit more involved than first planed. After removing the sm465/np205 combo decided to give the engine a "freshen" so to speak. Pulled it, put it on a stand and started the engine compartment degrease/clean up. Changing the oil pan gasket, rear main seal, timing chain and gear, water pump, power steering pump and hoses, changed the 2 bbl Rochester and intake to a Edelbrock Performer and a 600 Edelbrock carb, going to a Pertronix dist. conversion, installing a 4x4 dip stick, tall oil fill tube, stock '71-'72 style valve covers and a 4 core radiator.

Also giving the engine, accessories and brackets a new coat of paint. Chevrolet orange on the block and valve covers, water pump, timing chain and semi-gloss black on the brackets and such. Intake is powder coated silver/aluminum color. Installed new studs on the 4x4 straight down manifolds with POR15 cast iron Gray. Whew, this project got more involved than I first had in mind but then a LOT of my projects do that.

Thanks, but I would like to find a factory original 350 cover. I know a turbo 400 cover will work too, but the starter cut out is wider.

Thanks,
Ray

I think I have one somewhere in the garage and I'm close enough you can pick it up. I'll check today. If I have one, it's yours.

Re: WTB Flywheel cover 72 4X4 /w turbo 350

Ray, I found out today that the 350TH mated to my np205 actually uses the same bolts or fasteners as is used with the oil pan and timing chain cover. I think they are 1/4 - 20 thread. I have several of them spare if you are in need. May not work on your transmission but threaded in very nicely on mine. If you do not have any PM me your address and I will mail some to you in a bubble pack mailer, no charge, FREEBIE. Just paying it forward for some things I have received FREEBIE style from fellow board members.
