engine color

Hey guys need some input. I am painting my 68 gloss black and will be gloss black under the hood but what color do I paint the engine chevy orange or black tell me what you think.

Black motors look good but IMHO too much black can bury detail, and make it difficult to spot any unfortunate leaks or cracks. How "custom" are you going with your build though, and what color will other things be? There in might be your answer. Good luck.

As much as I dislike red, I say it would look better than hugger orange with black..

Here is what I did to break up the black in my engine compartment.
I too have a full black engine bay and wanted to stay GM, but did not want to go traditional Chevy orange or GM red.

block = chevy orange. everything else is preference. block MUST be orange
