Original Style Bright Red Buddy Bucket Seat Cover *LOWER PRICE*

I can't prove this seat cover to be NOS, so I won't try. What I can say is it is original right down to the stitching. This cover is perfect for an original restoration. It is made of madrid vinyl and original bright red in color. FINAL PRICE REDUCTION $395 shipped to the lower 48.

Re: Original Style Bright Red Buddy Bucket Seat Cover

This seat cover was purchased close to twenty years ago. It is very heavy vinyl and was made with the original tooling. Many of you know the quality of the vinyl used in our seat covers and this cover probably weighs 10lbs more than our buddy bucket seat cover. I’m guessing a 40lb weight vinyl. The listing on this seat cover is the same listing used on the buddy bucket seat covers when these trucks were new. To the best of my knowledge many of the seat covers were outsourced to companies to be made for GM to go in our trucks. Once again, I am not saying this is an NOS cover. I am unable to tell due to the quality of the seat cover.

This seat cover is for sale locally also. I will do my best to update this thread as soon as the seat cover is sold.

If I provide a core can you build a finished product?

It was used in 1967 and 1968. The only difference was in 1968 they two toned the seats more, but they used the red all the way through 1970.

If I could get a burb back seat cover to match it that would be spot on~! Any way to make one? Maybe I would have to send the current cover?

Even though I can't afford them, I would be oh so tempted if they were the original blue.

Those are gorgeous!

I was referring to the design. I know in '68 (the other buddy buckets year) they had a different pattern that isn't sold in reproduction.

Re: Original Style Bright Red Buddy Bucket Seat Cover

Can you match the color for a burb 2nd seat. I could send you the cover off my seat if needed. Stitching would not have to be perfect but very similar?

Re: Original Style Bright Red Buddy Bucket Seat Cover

Curious to know, do the new reproductions for the 67 buddy buckets have the same style heat seamed stitching as this one and the only appearance difference is the material is lighter weight? Thanks

We can match the color and here is what we could do on the stitching. This would be as close as we could get.

I don't know of anyone doing the heat seams. That's one of the nice things about this cover being original style. We have a blue one listed too. Thanks.

Re: Original Style Bright Red Buddy Bucket Seat Cover

Would the vinyl on these not get a little dry & brittle with age even though they have never been installed?
