Who got the itch to buy another truck?

Lets see, Who swore they would only have one 67-72 truck? I thought my 1970 Gmc stepper would be enough. I was sure I would not buy another one but I got "the itch" and couldn't resist. Now I have a 1972 Jimmy also It was too good of a deal to pass up. Im sure there is plenty of you that couldn't just own one truck. Lets see your First 67-72 then your additions!!

Re: Who got the itch to buy another truck?

Only thing left on my list is to lower more and vintage air. swore this would be the last one but I'm searching for parts for my previous project while searching for another truck. Figure three would be cool. One for me, one for son , one for my dad.

I get the itch everytime I see one I like for sale, if I could only buy all of them.

There has to be medication for 'the itch'. I have a bad case of it, and it keeps coming back!

Re: Who got the itch to buy another truck?

I have been actively looking for a second one but cant make up my mind if I want a finished one or a project. Knowing how much of a perfectionist I am I would not want someone else's "restoration" then thinking about a project I dont have the time necessary to do it sooner or later I am bound to come accross the correct one. To answer your question YES all the time.

Re: Who got the itch to buy another truck?

I always got the itch for another. Craigslist is the devil for finding some good deals. My wife hates the fact I look at craigslist...lol Bought too many vehicles of there. If I had money to add another to the drive way I would. That will have to wait till the one I got now is finished. And like others have said, I would like to have all of them I see for sale for the most part.

Re: Who got the itch to buy another truck?

Im always looking for (and at) trucks.

I would like to mess with my 98 a little more.

BUT... I already know my next truck project but my 72 will have to go before I dive into that.

I had two trucks and a roller, now back to one and I'm sure it won't be the last. Also have a 69 Chevelle in total resto besides my current 69 SWB build called "Quickie"

Re: Who got the itch to buy another truck?

I think most of us have the itch lol . If I could afford it I would have as many 67-72 trucks as my driveway would hold. I bought my first one at 16 and have loved them ever since. I have a few other (rides) and I'm looking to sell most of them off to further fund my resto on my 68 gmc step and buy another truck for a DD year round truck.

Re: Who got the itch to buy another truck?

I have the itch for another 67 - 72 truck badly. Currently working on my 70 lwb and thoroughly love the truck. I am always looking at Craigslist for a 67 - 72 Suburban 4X4 that is in decent shape. These trucks are addictive to have and to look for.

Re: Who got the itch to buy another truck?

I started out in a 72 Green LWB when I was 16, it was a real nice truck, factory air, ps, pb, 350, auto. Now I have a 68 LWB project and I'm seeing them everywhere sitting in the bushes, I've just got to get up the nerve to stop and ask if they are for sale. So who knows how many I'll end up with!

Is this my wife? Are you setting a trap?

I've had the itch for years, but I have refined my preferences!

I have 13 between 68 and 72. They now have to be unmolested 4x4 lwb, swb, or 2x4 swb with front disc brake and power steering with a small or big block.

I have to really watch myself or my wife will de nut me!

It is an addiction that is dictated by money. The problem is that some of these trucks are just too cheap! I mean, how can you go wrong buying a 1500 dollar truck, putting $2500 into it and having a really fun driver?

Re: Who got the itch to buy another truck?

I only had one for a year before I bought my second and have had at least a few since then. I've reduced and am down to three now. I want to sell one (tow truck) because I'm trying to keep it to the ideal pair...a K2500 and a C1500 swb. BUT!!! I'm having hankerin's for a C/20 for a back up work truck to relieve my K2500 from that duty. Sure would be cool to have a dump truck for the business, too. Then again,I always wanted another pro-street Stepside. Been wanting to build a '20s-'30s hot rod for a while,as well as at least one 60-66,55-59,47-55,and late '30s-'47

Re: Who got the itch to buy another truck?

I surf craigslist regularly... I do love these trucks, and they're primarily what I look at, but why have two of the same. They could look totally different, but still the same basic truck... that's why I also have a 65 mustang and 67 firebird.
