got 4 of these today
Took me along time to pick out a set of wheels and after being told the prices listed were wrong and it would take 2 months to get them (even though the website said they were in stock) and then being told my second choice would be over a month out I found another brand that looked very much like the second set I had picked so it worked out in the end.
I think these will look real sharp on the 69. Ultra 17x9s 5" bs polished. now to figure out the tires 33x12.50x17s , looking at the Nitto Mud Grapplers at this time. |

Re: got 4 of these today
Congrats! Can't wait to see them on the truck. I personally like my BFG MT's... never had a problem with them on my Jeep.

Re: got 4 of these today
I heard the Toyo MT is a good tire ... a friend had them on his crewcab Dodge Diesel...
I was going with either the General Grabber Red Letter ... Or the Mickey Thompson MTZ ... |

Re: got 4 of these today
Oh yeah as soon as they are on pix will go up... lol just got to figure the tires out.
Plus side is I will be able to swap them onto my 06 or VS my 06s to the 69 if I would ever need or want to, the only reason i went to the 17" rims. Plus the rallies. On the 69 will now go onto the 70. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: got 4 of these today
Those are going to look Tuff on your truck! as far as tires I've always liked the BFGs, either MT or ATs...looks like there are a lot of other good looking choices out there tho. Now for another big decision....white letters in or out??

Re: got 4 of these today
If what I buy has letters I will put them out. Yeah BFGs are great tires and the only reason I am looking at other tires is for something different.
Like the Nittos on my 06 ,I bought them because they were $400 bucks for 4 ( 20s) and looked like new. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: got 4 of these today
Looks like you spent some good money on them wheels. You should get you a good set of tires that will last... I recommend some retreads from www.treadwright.com
Great price and last longer than any other brand I have ran. They have BFG AT's tread design and BFG's mud terrain tread design also. Had 40k on a set of there BFG style retreads, put hardly any wear on them and don't round on the edges like the really BFG AT's.

Re: got 4 of these today
I was allmost killed when I was 18 from a bad front tire blowing out so I dont think I will be buying retreads ever..lol
Not saying they are bad but I see way to many tire treads on the side of the road for me to try them. But thanks for the info anyway. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: got 4 of these today
No worries with these. I had a set I put many of miles on, and I got a buddy that has about 50k on a set that he has made several trips from KS to the east coast and back. Oklahoma and back, and Iowa and back. That company has been featured in several magazines and surpasses DOT standards. The only ones on the big rigs and school buses that are required to meet DOT standards are the front tires (steering wheels), the all others on them can be cheapy nonstandard meeting retreads. Trust me, I researched the hell out of them before I bought from the company. If they made all sizes, I would have them on my all my vehicles.
But personal preferences are personal preferences. I was just offering a quality option for you that you will probably get more miles out of. From personal experience of running them and a few other friends, you can't go wrong with them. I had 5-7k on mine, and still had nubs present on the treads. I was very impress.
