Unhappy Is there a way to clean a gummed up fuel pickup screen?

I am getting ready to start a new engine and wasnt getting fuel. I found the pickup screen on the sending unit gummed up. Im currently soaking it with carb cleaner. Is there any tricks to clean it up? I was thinking pressure washing it. If not I will have to order one online maybe and have to wait another week.

Well, just so this is a good reference for you fellow truck enthusiasts; I soaked it in a smll container of acetone and occassionaly shook it around and now its like new!
