Update on my patina farm find 68
I dont have a "build" on this truck but its my first attempt at a C10, I found it a couple miles from my house back in Feb. of this year sitting way off the road with a for sale sign on it, I drive this road nearly everyday and hadnt seen it before. I struck a deal with the owner and drove it home. I really liked the patina on this truck and the fact it is a unmolested 68 with the original title, protect o plate, and manual. The 307 is fresh, brakes rebuilt (drums), new Delco battery, I flushed and sealed the tank, all the glass is in great shape, the interior is in good cond but the seat could use a freshen up, I just put a CPP 3/5 deluxe kit on it and left the wheels as is with the white wall mudders on the back! Let me know what you think.

Re: Update on my patina farm find 68
Very nice! Looks clean and reliable.
I wonder if it was repainted though? The roof isn't white. It's blue like the rest of the truck. Not sure if that's original or not? Also, the paint almost looks like its chipping off in flakes, like one of those 1990's Chevy trucks, rather than fading and rusting. I go back and forth personally, with my own truck as to whether I should paint it or leave the patina Posted via Mobile Device |

The slant nose looks good but being long and low is the icing on the cake.

I dig it. Something about hubcaps and white walls that make my sticker peck up. What part of N Ga are you from? I'm in Gainesville.

I cleaned them up and painted them. And I'm in Gordon county over close to Carters lake.

Re: Update on my patina farm find 68
I love your truck !
amazing that we spend so little for such satisfaction people say to me all the time ," when you gonna paint it ?" I say , " what do you mean you don't like the color ??? I'm interested in lowering my 72' but need to haul a few more loads of gravel and mulch. I'll post pics soon / I pulled my bench and welded in some SAAB seats I got for free / I've also been looking at the cool racing seats on EBAY for $250 a pair. Truck Looks so good though , great score a good running 307 will get 18 MPG ! |

Re: Update on my patina farm find 68
Thanks guys, glad you like it! I honestly bought the truck to flip but since I've been working on it and driving the wheels off of it I don't know if I want to get rid of it! What's bad is I have a steel 29 A Model street rod that's very nice but I enjoy the truck more than it and its worth like 10 times what the truck is!
