Cracked Flywheel???

Well driving home today and when i pulled in the driveway i head a pinging noise, a noise that i heard once before and i knew exactly what it was, the fly wheel cracked. i had the same problem 4 months ago back in June and i changed it out with a Napa 168tooth one. I plan on going to Napa and getting another one since it is under warranty but this time im going to upgrade to the Heavy Duty Fly Wheel. I was wondering what caused it to crack if there is something i should look at when i pull the transmission back to switch it?

Flex plate or flywheel? Some get this confused if you crack a flywheel it's A. Garbage to begin with B. race car or c. You shift like dirt.

Flexplates can break in a lot of ways though

Flexplate. If the trans isn't centered quite right the flex plate will do a wavy bacon kinda thing at rpm as a result and will stress fracture. Plus I'm sure the napa flywheels aren't to great as well. Try looking at sfi spec flywheels

A flexplate is a auto a flywheel is a stick but everyone calls a flexplate a flywheel tho.I would order a better one from like summit and make sure you put it in right should last a long time.
