Good person to ask is member Lolife99. He has a pair on his truck and they are pretty rare.

15x6.5 are more common, but if they are a true 7" wide 6 lug rally they are pretty rare.

Re: 15x7 6 lug truck rally wheels

I get $90-$100 each for mine or I don't sell them.
They are too hard to come by.
They work great with disc brakes.
Plus they have 4" of backspacing so they tuck alot nicer under the front fenders than the 15x8's do.

Re: 15x7 6 lug truck rally wheels

6-lug 73-87 rally wheels for the most part only come in 15x8's and the rare 15x7's.
As far as I know there are no 73-87 6-lug rally wheels that are 15x6.5.

I love this site, I learn stuff all the time. I have a set of of the 15x7 6 lug, a pair of 15x8 6 lug and a set of 15x8 5 lug and never noticed the 6 lug wheels were different than the 5 lug wheels.

Are the wheels worth $90-100 with the trim ring or just the wheels by them self?

Thanks for the information.

Re: 15x7 6 lug truck rally wheels

I get that price for bare wheels.
But you have to find someone that wants them. Ha.

Thanks for asking this question. I do not know about anybody else but I have learned a lot from this thread.

That is the problem with selling anything, is finding someone that wants it. LOL I had the 4 of mine on a rolling chassis that I had sold for $400.00 complete and then the guy backed out and I returned his down payment. Just another proof that everything happens for a reason and that is usually good. Thanks

Re: 15x7 6 lug truck rally wheels

Here's the selling point.
The front track with of these trucks looks like crap,... when trying to run the same size wheel on all four corners.
The wide front end look rediculous compared to the narrow 60-69 rearend width.
You compound this with the addition of adding disc brakes up front,... which makes the track width even wider and doesn't allow the use of stock steel drum brake wheels, (pre-'71), because of disc brake caliper clearance issues.
6-lug 15x8 rally wheels are cheap.
I just passed up a set of 4,... for $40.
I have too many already.

But,... the addition of the 15x7's help make the front end look better, because they don't stick out so far.
They are the max backspace 15" wheel (4" BS).
Even the 15x7 5-lug wheels only have a 3-5/8" BS.

These wheels work great on the 60-66 trucks also.
I have even seen these on the 47-54 trucks running the original front axle or dropped axle.

Are the wheels stamped? Whats the easiest way to tell if they still have tires on them?
