1967 gmc grill support

Does anyone know where i can pick up an upper grill support (upper piece between fenders, below hood and above grill) to give exact location of part. I am trying to swap my 71 gmc hood for a 67 gmc hood and that is the only piece i can not locate. It is not on ebay craigslist or any of the catalogs from LMC or Truck shop. Thanks in advance.

Someone else can chime in, but my understanding was that 67-68 Chevys were different from 70-72s, but GMCs were all the same.

Re: 1967 gmc grill support

He needs the filler panel. The grilles interchange, but the filer panel is used on 67/68s and with the shorter 69-72 hood the grille surround is required. This part is not reproduced,so a pretty precious part, considering how popular the 67/68 hoods are and this is the one part required to convert. Dad's taxi,if you need more info on this swap, send me a PM.

I know that the fenders are the same minus the side markers and a few hole to fill in, but the filler on top bar betweem the grill and hood are different after 1968.

Re: 1967 gmc grill support

Thanks Laid67, I just realized how close we are to each other. Here is a pic, no major dents, cancer or rot through. It came off of a 67 GMC. I am asking $50 for it. Let me know. Jenn
