Sister bought a pickup.

Well, yesterday we drove up to Payson, having plans of buying a short 68 fleetside. When we got up there it turned out to be slathered in bondo everywhere, it was rough as hell. Before we left I got on CL on her phone right quick, (I don't own a cell phone) found a stepside on there, called the guy up, said we were bringin cash and would like to come look at it on our way home. He lived in Glendale. Little sister was all bummed the one up north didn't pan out and I told her were going to look at another pickup, she was happy again, went down there, looked the truck over, someone started cleaning it up already, it has some thin bondo on it like someone was tryin to get it squared up and ready for paint. No REAL rust.

Asked the little one if she liked it, she said yes, asked the guy how bad he wanted it gone, he said money talks, $2,504 later I was driving home a plain jane stepper with my sister ridin shot gun with the biggest smile in the world and my best friend followin us home.

Yeah, it's got a straight 6, not sure if it's the original 292, was originally a 4 speed, now it has a turbo 350 and a single piece driveshaft.

I noticed the pass fender doesn't have the trim on it and the holes have been filled so that'll have to get sanded out.

Cool Re: Sister bought a pickup.

Great looking truck and glad your sister has the bug for a old Chevy! We need more women with trucks in this world.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I'd leave that six and tranny in there, give it a nice simple paint job and enjoy it! Maybe drop it four inches, throw on some rally wheels then enjoy it!

Re: Sister bought a pickup.

Plan on doing a 4/6 with probably some 20's.

She likes lowered trucks. I might turbo the straight 6 give a bit of get.
