ID driveshaft?

Can anyone ID this driveshaft? It looks like a front blazer driveshaft but I have my doubts. It is too long and it looks like it is missing the rear pivot part that would bolt to the transfer case.

Re: ID driveshaft?

The bottom one in the first picture looks like my Blazer's front shaft. I don't know what the other one is.

Re: ID driveshaft?

my blazer that has a 203 tc, has a real small dia front shaft. Looks similar to that top one. Have not looked it over for any id marks.

Re: ID driveshaft?

Yes I know the bottom one is a blazer front drive shaft. I am posting that one just as a comparison to the one in the top of the pic.

Re: ID driveshaft?

My 71 Blazer project had 3 of those skinny driveshafts sitting in it when I bought it. Probably a front shaft but different transmission, which could require a longer shaft, or it may be a rear from a say 6 cylinder/3 speed manual trans rig? (light duty)

Re: ID driveshaft?

I called Spicer (Dana) and they didn't even know. # on driveshaft they said was probably just a casting #. So I'll just give it away like it was given to me. Whoever buys the front one I have for sale can have that one also.
