Wheels for a 61 Apache

As most of you know, we just scored a 61 apache. I know we have a ton of questions.
Found some wheels on CL
http://syracuse.craigslist.org/pts/3388374786.html
The guy said they are 9 icnches wide. My newer tires off my 64 will be mounted on these. Will these fit? Are they too wide? Price seems fair. My 64 is 8 lug, her 61 is 6 lug. We will have to flip flop some tires, as I have some wide white walls I am puting on the 64.

Thanks,
Glenn

Re: Wheels for a 61 Apache

Ive seen 15x10's on the rear fine. Depending on how wide your front tires are, you may get some rubbing. Im running 15x8 on the front w/235/75R15 and have very little room to play with when locked all the way left or right.

We've experienced interference with anything over 8" wide. Even some 8-inchers rub under rear, esp. if it has been lowered any. Fleetsides are a tad more forgiving, widthwise, than stepsides. It's a noticeable problem in lots of pics shown on internet that show shorter/narrower tires on rear as compared to front. Even using later year pickup/van rally's, lots of pics show trucks with 7" rallys on rear vs. 8" on front--these wheels came in several widths in the 5-lug design anywhere from approx. 6.5", 7", & 8"--deeper dish on 8", & they look weird with the mismatch. Rubbing that we found was on pickups that had 5-lug patterns drilled into original 6-lug axles--nothing else different.
Look on Ebay at 60-66 C10 pickups for sale & you'll probably see some "misfits" I described above.
Good luck on your "fit".
