Mirror Identification Thread
Is there a thread that talks about the different 67-72 door mirrors? I know different years got different styles and option, not to mention the popular dealer swapped towing mirrors and what not. I'm also trying to understand the best way to see the difference between an OEM sport mirror and the aftermarket ones (when they are still bolted to the door). Sorry if I'm dumb on this, haven't really worried about mirrors until now. Searched around a little but couldn't really find definitive answers. If there is a thread please point me in that direction, if not feel free to post info here. Thanks!

Re: Mirror Identification Thread
Nobody has any info? Every time I find a 67-72 in the junk yard it always has a different set of mirrors on it than the last one I saw. Just trying to figure out what to keep an eye out for.

Re: Mirror Identification Thread
Don't know of any particular one ID'ing them all, but if we get all the info here I'd be willing to compile it into a faq/sticky.
Here are mine. I know it's not factory to my truck, but no idea if it is even a GM mirror. Although these look similar: Aw heck I'll see what I can whip up for now. Any info on years these were available would be awesome. Special-k this is where you come in Below Eyelines or Jr West Coasts, I believe these came on 67/68 10-30's: Standard Round, these were on 70-72 10-30's: Standard Square, same as above: Custom Camper: Unsure: Unsure: Peep Style: Unsure: West Coast Sr: Help me out here fellas. Add in any info you have! Also, if I am using your picture and you want it removed please let me know and I'll have it taken down as soon as possible!

Re: Mirror Identification Thread
Don't forget the hardest to find "flyswatter" mirrors.
Not sure of the technical name for them but believe they were standard on the 1 tons.

Re: Mirror Identification Thread
From Billet's post, here are the correct years (to the best of my knowledge) for the factory mirrors shown...
Picture #3: 69-71 (with '80s 1pc upper arm/mirror head) below eyeline/west coast junior...optional #4: 67-70 mirror w/round head. I believe 67/68 had round and 69/70 had rectangle. Could be wrong...standard #5: 71/72 mirror people call "sport" mirrors...standard #6: 69-72 camper...optional #7: '72 below eyeline...optional #8: 67-70 (again) w/rectangle head...standard #10: 67-72 west coast senior...optional #11: 67/68 rv junior...optional

Re: Mirror Identification Thread
Thanks, guys. The sport mirror is what I mainly want to educate myself on. I love finding "nice" driver quality oem parts when I'm looking around in the junkyards. Is there a telltale sign that helps identify an original sport mirror from a china repop?
