5 lug rear disc brake rotors, just the rotors
Does anyone know of a good source for 5 lug rear disc brake rotors? I already converted my front end and am looking to convert the rear. However instead of buying a disc brake kit I have individual components I already had on the shelf. Namely a set of weld on disc brackets, a pair of calipers, and lines. However I am having a hard time locating a source for a pair of slip on 5x5" 5 lug rotors. All of the front GMs I find have the hub assembly integrated and don't appear to be able to separate them. The parts I have are from an old 4x4 project where we could separate the hub and rotor to use it.
I really don't care to spend a few hundred bucks to buy someones kit when I have almost all of the parts already. I mean these companies have to be selling replacement rotors for their kits, brakes don't last forever. I just cannot seem to locate rotors only. Any help is appreciated. Searching just brought me to a lot of kit discussion or "buy a kit" statements.

And with a search for compatible 5x5" wheel patterns I think I found an answer. B-body Impala SS seems to have rear slip on discs with 5x5" pattern. Going to go get a set Friday and see how they will work out.

Re: 5 lug rear disc brake rotors, just the rotors
Astro looks like the ticket. Impala rear is only .79" thick. Astro is the right 1.25". Also the Astro has a deeper hat it looks like. Should put the rotor in farther for the weld on mounts. Thank you very much!

Re: 5 lug rear disc brake rotors, just the rotors
I thought Astro's were 5x4.75" lug pattern.
Can anyone confirm the lug pattern of the AWD Astro's? Thx!!

Re: 5 lug rear disc brake rotors, just the rotors
Are guys using the Astro AWD front or rear rotors? I ask because the fronts are slip on units too.

Re: 5 lug rear disc brake rotors, just the rotors
Yep I ended up using like a 2000 AWD Astro Rotor. Lined up great and fit well on my aftermarket 5 lug axles. Has to be AWD since they have the newer style unit bearing construction. 2wd is a hub/rotor combination for old style bearings. Parts guy tried to give me 2WD ones at first despite my asking for AWD.

Re: 5 lug rear disc brake rotors, just the rotors
I too am running custom 5 lug axles, but for a 9.5" 14 bolt. They usually came 8 lug, some '90's had 6 lug, but the only factory 5 lug 9.5" 14 bolts were under '90-'93 SS454 Trucks.
Because of this, its been fun making a rear disc conversion, especially since mine came from a '80's 'Burb with 8 lug axles. The only think I am reusing is the housing (after being narrowed about an inch on each side to fit the axles I have. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 5 lug rear disc brake rotors, just the rotors
"Tomsclassic" ebay seller who sells kits or just the mounting brackets and states he uses, 88-91 Chev K1500 rotor.
Worth buying at local autoparts store, can always take back if they don't work.
