Re: ls1/ls6 intake

for the money of the FAST setups, I'd get close to a whole l92 head and intake combo (assuming you have the 4" bore to run it).

Re: ls1/ls6 intake

...just tryin to get a better lookin intake on there, but there really is no cheap way of doin it!....ls1's are cheaper to buy, the ls6 is beter, but more money, and buy the time it's ready to go I could buy a typhoon...but then I would need injectors and stuff, and the fast is just crazy expensive.....

Ok, now which one is it ??

I read somewhere that some of the 2002 camaro/firebird ls1's had the ls6 intake. Any truth to this ?

Re: ls1/ls6 intake

So let me get this straight! Your replacing the truck manifold to lose torque, to gain RPM and to make your motor pretty? Just how much does this gain ya and is it cost effective? Wouldn't a nice engine cover change the looks cheaper? Not trying to be a butt as I haven't got mine on the road yet and changing it is easier now than later.

Starting in '01 All LS6 & LS1 use the same intake, Looking at the bottom is the ONLY 100% way of knowing, 49 state 99/00 Vettes didnt have EGR But still had the old intake & most get peddeled off as LS6 intakes.

I actually like the truck intake bare rather than cover it up with one of those crappy covers......but the ls6 intake screams bad ass...

Re: ls1/ls6 intake

^thats the l92 style truck manifold isn't it?
the old style is a little less attractive unless worked down with a dremel.
