72 C10 project quick flip..

Purchased this truck as a quick flip.
The price was low, works and drives fine, registration until Feb, disc brakes, 6 cyl, auto.

Need body work, roof post areas and rain gutter more so, the rest are slight rust areas.

Well, my dad liked it, way too much, so he got an early Christmas gift..

Still, will do a few things to the truck right away, and if hes up to it, later down the road..maybe a transformation..

This is how it looks after a quick wash down, the light areas is house paint of some kind, the darker yellow areas is spray paint..
Ill started by sanding trying to bring the actual color back, even if its hurting

Re: 72 C10 project quick flip..

PO wheels, they are narrow up front and wide rears.

Stock 6 cyl, my guess they added Power Steering, the steering box twists from left to right and looks awkward ( need to fix this)

Re: 72 C10 project quick flip..

Rust oleum hood, door and fender..

Why people do such things???!!!

After a bit of sanding..

Withing this week we will get it with the DA...
Got two options, re-touch the different parts with light yellow and then spray flat clear, or simply sand and flat clear over everything..
Will see..

Wow... anyway I really like those wheels myself kinda look period correct to me and with them being aluminum they wont rust like the chrome version of them.
Looks like it will be a nice truck when you get it painted.

Yep..
They are aluminium which is rare..
Found a set of steel wheels today, traded them for one of my shop's stainless steel Point Covers for this guys shovelhead.
Might sell the mags local ( all 5) or just stash them..
