Does this seem steep....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/shop-...orcev4exp=true
I am wondering what you guys think of the price this is going for so far? Seems steep to me, I think there are nicer ones in the classifieds section here for less. Is there something I'm not seeing that is driving up the price of this burb? |

Re: Does this seem steep....
Seems like a solid looking burb.
Engine is unknown, claims it's a 454 with doubt. Which to me says it's a 402. To my personal point - Subtract a few grand for the ridiculous art work, and the wide white wall tires. (I can't stand wide whites on 67-72 trucks, they never had them and is purely a ghetto fad). I'd keep shopping... There are better burbs out there for less cash, and with out all the mystery and trendy modifications.

Re: Does this seem steep....
I think that he has marketed his burb for a very specific group. The rat rod-patina crowd. While there are many who do not like this look, it is alive and growing. Want to see some crazy high prices, go look at original patina'd and logo'd vw busses pre 1968. They regularly go over 40k.
I do not think that this burb is in any way worth more than 5k, but beauty is in the eye of the fat wallet.

Reserve not met at $7500? YIKES! I'm thinking the seller will be the high bidder!

7550 and the reserve is still not met, I guess he is not trying to sell it after all. maybe he just wants an ego boost.

Re: Does this seem steep....
I personally do not like the shop logo or the wheels but I think at $7500 it should have been sold but it depends on what all has been done. I am going thru it now with my burb and doing things right cost some coin and I haven't spent near what a lot of guys spend.

Re: Does this seem steep....
I know the previous owner of this burb. It was sold to the new owner at the Redneck Rumble on Labor Day weekend. I liked the burb when I saw it there. I think the fake business on the side it a little too big. I want to to do something like that to mine, just not that large.
The previous owner, Dennis, owns a couple SWB trucks that are really nice. Here's the one that he brings to my truck show every year:
