Can anyone tell me if this is fixable (straighten/polish)? And does anyone know of reputable person good this job? I live in Wisconsin but would be willing to ship it out if find a well known person.

Yes it is restorable. The more important question is whether it’s financially practical. There’s no easy way to restore something like this. It’s a tedious and labor intensive effort. I’ve read many articles over the years showing professionals repairing similar parts, but I’m not current on anyone good that provides the service.

A more cost effective approach might be to try it yourself. Just Google restoring or polishing aluminum trim, and see what needs to be done. It requires almost no investment, just a lot of patience and attention to detail. The insert appears to be in pretty good condition with no breaks or severe bends. Having to weld or replace missing pieces really jacks up the price if a pro does the work. I taught myself to do the stainless windshield trim on my truck and it turned out pretty nice for a first time effort.

With the amount of damage showing, I would speculate professional repairs are going to cost several hundred dollars. If you’re just looking for driver quality you might be money ahead looking for a serviceable part that’s in better condition and can be used as-is.
