What is this part?

I have been doing some organizing, and came across this part on my bench... I dont remember taking it off, but it was on the bench that only contained parts off of my truck... the bolt hole patterns look like they match those of the gas pedal, and the arch looks like it should go on the steering column, but what is this piece for?? I can not recall!

Re: What is this part?

Your above pictured piece is a 1971 accelerator pedal rod support bracket, I had the below pics on file showing a complete 71 pedal & cable setup. Mel

Re: What is this part?

Which would be why I dont remember taking it off my 67! looks like I must have set it there at some point and forgot I set it there! Thank you much! and since I am using LFD's pedal conversion and Slosh Tubz Pedal Bling I wont be needing it. If some one needs this part, let me know you can have it free just cover the shipping.
