Re: 47-55 seats

There are tons of photos of later model seats in these trucks on here. I've always thought that low back seats minus the head rests look better in the older trucks. The high back seats tend to look like they were stuck in without a lot of thought being put into the process.
I'm not sure what the buckets are in this burb but they look comfortable enough to take a road trip with lots of miles.

The seats in my wife's 91 Dodge Grand Caravan aren't bad looking and would probably fit in a burb pretty well but after 100 miles your back starts complaining big time and there is no adjustment in them. I'd be looking at seats out of a mid size Suv like a Range Rover, Mercedes, Audi or ? or other high end suv You might have to pay a bit more for the seats to begin with but your butt and back will thank you many times over when you decide to do a serious road trip.

But honestly the most comfortable seat that I have ever had in the 48 was the stock seat that Bobby Russel of Waco redid for me in 1973 just before the Street Rod Nationals in Tulsa. I did a lot of long road trip on that seat including moving from Texas to Washington state towing a 16 ft Uhaul behind the 48 and you didn't get that 150 mile backache that the seat in the van or the seat in my 71 give. The 20.00 Dodge St Regis Sedan seat that I have in the 48 now looks ok but wooden bench would be more comfortable.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: 47-55 seats

Here's mine out of a Nissan car. I'm in the process of having them recovered in black. I removed the head liners. Nice Burb. I'm jealous....that's what I want for my next project.

Mine is a custom mix green. It does get that mistaken for cynergy green a lot though. When you compare the colors next to one another mine has more green color in the highlights. Originally I was going with tan interior as well but have since decided to go with black

Btw where did you and your friend find these burb projects? Were they sold as a package? I'm trying to locate a burb myself.

Thanks
Marc

Re: 47-55 seats

Looks like a great start. You should start a build thread on it..
