1970 402 BBC build
hey i was wonding if anyone could tell me if i can get 400 hp 450-500 torque going .030 over on a 402? and if i do a stock rebuild can i get 350 hp 400 torque? and what is stock compression ratio? it is going in my 72 c10 lwb.

I'm building one right now hopefully 500hp and 500tq. I have a complete rotating assembly cast crank fresh turned .010 and forged pistons w/rings .030 for a 402 or .060 for a 396. I have a Lunati voodoo cam 218 228 @ .050 brand new was installed but never ran. I pulled it because I went with a hydraulic roller and steel crank and rods. If your interested pm me. 400-430hp would be easy with this set-up if the heads are right.

awesome. im using the stock oval port heads and im gonna get the full works o n them through the machine shop im using.
