How much brake fluid for empty system?
I replaced every single brake line, hose and even the master cylinder. So the complete system is bone dry.
How much fluid do you think I would need? I got 13" discs up front and drums in the rear. What brands do u recommend? Or just something reasonably priced at my O Reilly's? Thanks for your time. Weev- Posted via Mobile Device

Re: How much brake fluid for empty system?
A quart should do it. Any DOT 3 or 4 will work.

Re: How much brake fluid for empty system?
Actually if you are going to flush the system (pull the bleeders and let it flow some) two quarts are a good idea. In a brake repair/buildup project fluid is cheap expense. So make sure it is fresh and you have plenty on hand. As to brand, at one time Ford's was considered the best to buy. Now I'm not sure it makes much difference but use a quality brand.
