Any interior pics of panel trucks
We used to have a 60 Chevy panel up until about 10 years ago. My dad bought it when I was about 15-16 and it had some sort of built raised platform in the back that you could flip up a lid for storage underneath it. My dad kept it in there for awhile then ripped it all out. He then sent it down to his uncle who was a wood craftsman.
He proceeded to take little 1" -1 1/2" wood strips out of an old school house and lined the interior of the panel with it. He then stained and finished it all out. It looked pretty good. Sorry but I do not have any photos of any of this. I am curious as to what the panel looked like from the factory. If anyone has any photos of the inside rear of their panel I would like to see them. I am going to trying to contact who bought it off of him and see if they still have it. My dad passed away few years ago and I would like to see if it can be obtained. |

Thanks! I take it that the panels came out with the wood plank floors. I had figured that maybe they had a metal floor in them.

Still pertaining to panel's but I can still remember how ours drove and rode. It was heavy and had alot of lean going around corners. I think ours was originally a three on the tree but when we got it, it had an auto in it. Very low geared rear end. It was suprisingly quick on the low end. Still puts a smile on my face.
