Best Reproduction Parts???

Guys, I'm needing to order lots of part such as weatherstipping, emblems, mirrors, seals, handles, etc... What company has the highest quality parts? I'm looking at Harmon's, LMC, Speedway, Classic Industries, Brothers, Filling Station, and American Classic. Or I wonder if all of the parts come from the same manufacturer regardless? Chinese or made in USA?

Re: Best Reproduction Parts???

I've been pretty happy with what I got from www.Classicheartbeat.com. Wes is a member on here and a vendor on here too. He has a walkin store along with the website and also works on customer rigs in his shop with the same parts he sells and uses on his own trucks.

That said I think if you stick with the major players like LMC, Brothers or Classic Industries and the ones who do have walk in stores and shops along with the website sales you should be good. I usually check to see if the sellers who have a lot of parts for these trucks listed on Ebay have a real store that they also sell out of. That helps me keep from buying from some dropshipper selling stuff and then ordering it from cheap parts are us and having it dropped shipped.

Thumbs up Re: Best Reproduction Parts???

I have purchased most of my aftermarket parts from Classic Parts of America. I really believe that most aftermarket classic truck companies sell the same exact products and regulate the prices just slightly different. I like Classic Parts of America because they have a catalog that specializes in just 55-59 trucks..........not 47-59 or 47-72. I hate scanning through a catalog looking for just 55-59 stuff. Also the pictures are color and show the exact item, plus the descriptions are pretty good. The company is super easy to order from online and it ships to me in a reasonable time. I have spent hundreds with them and have had no errors on orders.

Re: Best Reproduction Parts???

I bought cab corners, fender bottoms, floors and rocker panels all parts "new" on eBay. Never had a problem with any of them and the price was cheaper. They appeared to be the same gauge thickness as that of the original truck parts. My buddy bought his from a popular retailer in the US (not mentioning any names) and there was no difference in the quality, in fact I would bet they were produced by the same company in China. Have a look if you want.

Question: Know how to sell your truck for $50,000?
Answer: Spend $100,000 building it.
