Re: Weiand 177

That's cool!

Is it on a small block?

Did you have to move the engine back so that it didn't hit the radiator?

Are you running an electric fan? Short or long water pump?

Sorry for all the questions, but I was thinking about doing this on a truck at some point aloso.

Re: Weiand 177

Its on a 327, didn't have to move anything Just use the blower with the long nose and I used the long water pump which I already had on there everything bolted right up. Just had to get a drop base air cleaner so the filter would fit. Oh and still using the stock fan setup with a spacer.

Re: Weiand 177

My 383 has the 142 on it and it would be better with the 177.......which will probably make some good boost on a 327.....what is your static compression ratio? I modified my drop base filter to go even lower so I could get a 4" element on it. I think the 177 is about 2" taller than the 142.......what size filter you running?

....and your are right......these little street blowers are fun and I love having it UNDER the hood.

Re: Weiand 177

my compression ratio is 9-1 I am running about a 1 1/2 inch aircleaner. I went with the 177 just incase I go with a stroker motor down the road.
