Can u swap a fleetside onto a stepside frame?

Can anyone tell me if the frames, mounting, etc. is the same on a swb stepside and fleetside? I would like to change over from a stepside to a fleetside but was wondering if there are any problems in doing so.

Thanks a bunch.
