how clean is clean enough for frame?
Went out and bought some cs paint and getting ready to.fully prep my frame so how clean is clean enough it says you can paint right over rust.

Of course sandblasting is by far the best option but power spraying, scraping and brushing off any grime and scaly rust might be a good option. That's what I'm thinking of doing with my frame. I figure after over 40 years with no paint, it may last another 40 with a good cleaning and a coat of rustoleum or similar.
Forgot to mention, mine just has old grease and road grime and surface rust.
