Stolen Truck Alert!!!
One of my good customer's had his truck stolen from his driveway in Centralia, Washington. Here is a copy of the email and a picture of it. If you see it please contact Chuck or the Police.
Attached is a photo of my son's Chevy truck that was stolen from my driveway North of Centralia, WA at about 11:00 PM last night, Monday, 6/9/03. The assigned Washington VIN # is CCE1425140044. It is a '68 Chevy shortbox fleetside pickup with a '71 nose clip and tube grille. The color is black primer on the exterior and the original Chevy red paint on the inside. The frame and all chassis components have been sandblasted and painted in the original satin black. It has a 350 engine, 700R4 transmission, and 3.73 rear end. The cab and sheet metal are straight and rust free. If you see this truck or any parts you suspect may have come from it, please call or email. Chuck or David Higgins 736-9532 or 508-0453 Let make this board work and locate this truck!! Thanks for looking. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

May the thief burn for this....
But hey, why spend thousands of dollars and countless hours restoring a classic pickup to just the way you want it if you can be a worthless piece of and steal it from some kid out of his driveway. I was a kid (actually, still am) when I did the majority of work on my truck, and I tell ya...it takes a lot of hours at $8.00/hr working at NAPA on summer vacations and after school to buy parts and pieces for these trucks. You should be really proud thief....you'll get what you deserve eventually. |

Wes,
Have there been any other trucks stolen from the 67-72 range in the same time frame? It seems to me that there is someone working over that area for our trucks. I believe 5/16/03 that 17 trucks were stolen. I really wish someone had Lojack so the cop could be led right to the thieves doorstep. Better yet I wish we had access to the information provide by Lojack so we could pay a visit to the low lifes that are doing this. In a way I wish my truck had a self destruct. If I can't enjoy it then no one will. Maybe we could rid ourselves of some thieves at the same time. I'm going to have to come up with a security plan for my truck now. At least at work it's safe. There is enough guys with guns there that no one is stealing any vehicles.

I'll difinitely be looking around up north. I hate thieves, My brother's Toyota, his pride and joy that he worked his tail off to buy in high school, got stolen out of the school parking lot a few weeks ago.

My wife's Tahoe was stolen last fall. It has Lojack. The cops found it in 90 minutes. Because it was parked outside the Taco Stand with no one in it, they couldn't arrest the little glue sniffin' bed wetter that took it. They fingerprinted it. We're still getting dust out of it! Don't wear white anymore. Cost $1100.00 to replace the door lock and steering clumn parts.

Id be on the watch out for a black primer color short fleet bed coming up for sale,or on the back of someones truck.be amazed what some idiots would do to get a box.instead of just paying the $3-$500 for one.Really sucks i could imagine,id be pissed.I had a Mangrove snake dropped off by Fed X they have records of leaving it here, well i got home.and the next day went by,i tracked it was suppose to be here by 1030 sent next day air,who ever opened it,was in for a HUGE surprise.they are one of the most aggressive snakes there is,and venomous.figured it was one of the mexican kids down the streets that always have the cops here,oh well one less now?Sometimes i want to plant a box on the porch with a Rattlesnake in it.Or keep one in my truck at night,be a good security system, chances they wont make it more than a couple miles away.
