Trans linkage shifter connector for 700r4 swap

Does anyone have any input on what to do in regards to connecting the stock automatic shift linkage to a 700r4? I included an illustration from the LMC catalog. I have all of the stock linkage from a TH350 equipped truck (all but part #32-4830) The shaft on the 700r4 is different and it is not a direct swap. I am looking at either running the Lokar custom set up (34-0726), or bying a TH350 trans linkage and cutting the middle out and welding the one from the 700r4 in...

Does anyone have a spare shift linkage arm that they want to part with (for less than LMC wants)?

On my 4l60e I used the stock bar from the column and used a car linkage on the trans. No problem. No need for fancy lokar stuff...... or a torque converter cover..

Correction, I may have just welded some junk together and don't really remember. Either way it was pretty simple to setup.

So you didn't have to move the linkage at all? Or did it have to move back or forward?

Re: Trans linkage shifter connector for 700r4 swap

I am getting ready to install a 700r4 in place of the manual 4 speed and was hoping to use my th350 linkage.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"
