Re: GMC Fenders

67-68 Chevy fenders are like the GMC fenders otherwise 69-72 Chevy fenders are different. If you measure the fenders you will find that GMC fenders are about 1 1/2" longer then the 69-72 fenders.

Re: GMC Fenders

So 69-72 gmc and chevy are different?? I'm guessing not enough to throw alignment off since aftermarket sells them as either Hope so I think my new fenders are off a chevy and I have gmc. Haven't heard of them not lining up before but I could be wrong

Re: GMC Fenders

I think the difference is on the front where the Grill's mount, chevy has solid aluminum surround.GMC has the metal surround with the eyebrow's mounted seperately.I think..could be wrong...

Re: GMC Fenders

67 chevy and 67 gmc = same ( no marker light )
68 chevy and 68-72 gmc = same
69-72 chevy = same ( all years) BUT different than 68 chevy

As mentioned, the difference is the area around the grill shell

They are more than a little off!!!! If you have a GMC you need GMC fenders or 67-68 chevy fenders. If not the grill will never line up.

Re: GMC Fenders

My first '72 GMC had a Chevy fender on it when I bought it. The eyebrow molding went right on. You couldn't tell the difference.

No, not unless you want to put a chevy grille on it. Do you have the GMC core support with the 4 headlight buckets? (Nevermind, I see it in the pic now...)
