Dash light bulbs keep buring out?
Have a 64' with guages - I keep replacing dash bulbs and they burn out in a day - Any idea what is going on?

What is the output of your alternator? Im thinking over voltage.. maybe?

Exactly, if you have to much voltage that will cause this problem. You may have a voltage regulator that stuck. Do you have a volt meter? get one and check battery voltage with the engine running. You should have between 13.5 and 14 volts at idle. If you are seeing 15 + volts, then I would suspect a sticking voltage regulator. Do you have the correct amp fuse for the dash lights. I think they are only 5 amps if I remember.

If you check the voltage, and it seems good, it is likely a ground problem. When you have too low voltage, the bulbs will also burn out fast.

Will check it out - thanks for the help - I do have a valtage meter - but you would think I'm in 2nd grade when it comes to using it - Might as well being speaking greek
