What is this part?

It is just under my header on drivers side. It actually is in the way when i put on a new gasket. I was thinking a temp sensor but my temp gauge is hooked somewhere else. Anyways can I remove it and plug the hole with a bolt?

Re: What is this part?

Its a temp sensor.

You can plug it with a pipe plug from your local hardware store. Make sure you have something to catch the antifreeze and use teflon tape on the plug threads.

Oh an be sure to fill your radiator back up with fluid!
