Ok I bought a 68 lwb stepside 2 wheel drive a week ago not my style of truck I like the 64-66 trucks. It had in the glove box a 1968 only emergency fuse kit never seen anything like this before is it rare? are there alot of them? posted in the WIW and havent got a single hit so I thought I would see how many have seen one will post a pic in min

Looks like they go for between 40 and 100 dollars on ebay.

while it has a gm label - I'm guessing it's not exactly a collector's item. simply a predecessor to the "box of Buss fuzes" that we have all kept in the glovebox since we burned out our first fuze.

I understand that just thought since it was 68 only it would have some significance

Of course it has significance and of course it's collectible. It's a GM accessory and model specific. Buss fuses are dime a dozen replacement parts,yet a full tin 5-pack in good condition is a cool collectible. Any GM glovebox nick-nack is significant

I have never seen one of those before, I think that is pretty cool. yep it is worth something. On E-rape

it is going for 40.00--60.00 in good condition.

I have never seen or heard of it , it is a cool little trinkit. It could have been a helpful little thing to have in your truck then,as well as now.

I know this because if you read on the package it says 1968 Chevrolet only

thanks - that pretty cool. Makes you wonder why they would produce something like that would say 68 only, when the fuses didn't change until many years later. Maybe just because the kit's box itself mimics the fuse panel and they were different later/earlier? Who knows. interesting little piece.

I think that's it,Jocko. In fact,they may have had different kit for A/C and non.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
