HELP! Full Time 4WD Question?
My 1970 GMC Jimmy has Full time front hubs and I want to replace the dented Flange caps. I thought that the front axle was a dana44 but all can find is caps for a dana60/70. My hubs are 6 lug so is it a dana44 or 60 or does it matter are the caps the same?

Re: HELP! Full Time 4WD Question?
It came with a D44 or if it was changed to a corp 10 bolt. They are different than a 60 ,60 being bigger.
I might have some used one.I will check.

Re: HELP! Full Time 4WD Question?
Dont have to you are just uncoupling the front axles from the hubs
ie: Axles and drive shaft still spin but not attched to the hub until lockouts are engaged = no wheel hop not much power robbed |
